ഒക്കലഹോമ: ഐപിസി അമേരിക്കൻ ഫാമിലി കോൺഫറൻസ് ഒരുക്കങ്ങൾ പൂർത്തിയായിവരുന്നു. ആഗസ്റ്റ് 4 മുതൽ 7 വരെ ഒക്കലഹോമയിലെ നോർമൻ എംബസി സ്യൂട്ട് ഹോട്ടലിൽ വച്ചാണ് കൺവൻഷൻ നടക്കുന്നത്.
എന്നാൽ വീണ്ടും കോവിഡ് രൂക്ഷമായി ഒക്ലഹോമയിൽ വർദ്ധിച്ചുവരുന്നു. ഒക്ലഹോമയിലെ പല സഭകളും ഇതിനോടകം വീണ്ടും അടച്ചുതുടങ്ങി. ( ഐപിസി എബനേസർ അടച്ചു, മറ്റു സഭകളിൽ പാസ്റ്റർ ഉൾപ്പടെ പലർക്കും കോവിഡ് ആണെങ്കിലും അതെല്ലാം മറച്ചുവെച്ചു ആരാധന നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. ) ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ കോൺഫറൻസ് വിജയകരമായി നടത്താൻ സാധിക്കുമോ എന്നു കണ്ടറിയേണ്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. 8000 പുതിയ കോവിഡ് വേരിയന്റ് കേസുകളാണ് ഒക്ലഹോമയിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്‍ച റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തത്.
ഒക്ലഹോമ സർവ്വകലാശാലയിലെ ഡോ. ഡെയ്ൽ ബ്രാറ്റ്‌സ്‌ലർ, കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്‌ചയിലെ പുതിയ കേസുകളിൽ പകുതിയിലേറെയും BA.5 എന്ന ഒമിക്‌റോൺ സബ് വേരിയന്റിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. “BA.5 വളരെ മാരക പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയാണ്. ഇത് അഞ്ചാംപനി പോലെ പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയായിരിക്കുകയാണ്.

OSDH: 8,000+ New COVID Cases In Oklahoma Last Week Caused By New Variant

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma’s COVID case numbers have risen sharply in the past four months. The state department of health’s weekly update shows 8,449 new cases of the virus were confirmed last week.
The state’s seven-day average of new cases per day rose to 1,207 Thursday. On May 12, the average was 149.
Dr. Dale Bratzler of the University of Oklahoma more than half of the new cases in the last week stem from an Omicron subvariant called BA.5.
“BA.5 is highly contagious. In fact, in our team meetings here at OU Health, we have been looking at the modeling and it may be close to as contagious as measles,” Bratzler said.

Hospitalizations are also rising, but at a slower rate than cases.
Bratzler said the public should take note of the increase and stay safe by getting vaccinated, wearing masks, and avoiding crowds.
